ROOTS OF RENEWAL

Soft pastel and graphite on art paper - 59cm x 42cm

Some portraits need time. I first sketched this drawing back in April but I left it unfinished. I had to step away and return with a different perspective. By June, I began again with new eyes, letting my intuition guide me through the process. Yesterday, I finally completed it! What began as a struggle became renewal.

This self-portrait explores duality, balance, struggle, and transformation. A reminder that even in the darkest moments, light is still running through.
