Soft pastels, charcoal and colour pencil on art paper - 42cm x 59.5cm

I gave myself a time frame of 3 hours to complete this piece, from start to finish (I literally used a timer). I wanted a challenge and be limited by time as I tend to fixate on detail, shading and precision.

I chose soft pastels because it’s a fast medium to apply. This gave me sense of freedom and is easy to layer and blend. I then used charcoal and pencil to add some final details and depth.

I thoroughly enjoyed this process and intend to do more like this.
